“America’s Got Talent” contestant Mat Franco had Mel B steaming mad — and the other judges in awe — on Tuesday’s show.
As part of the second and last seminfinal round, the magician performed a trick in which he started off by destroying Mel B’s cell phone.
We won’t spoil what happened next — you can watch the full video below — except to say Franco received a standing ovation in the end.
“I was this close to socking you one — that’s my phone!” Mel B exclaimed afterward, going on to tell Franco, “What you do is quite genius, but your delivery, your personality is so on point, it makes your act even larger than life.”
Heidi Klum admitted, “I don’t know how you do this. This was mind-boggling… I think what you do is so unforgettable, and I think that’s what a real great act is all about.”
Howard Stern said, “It’s really, really exciting seeing a magician such as yourself doing so well in this competition. Each time you bring it. Let’s remind the audience — you deserve to be voted for.”
And Howie Mandel, who confessed he had to stop himself from cursing when he saw Mel B’s phone get wrecked, called the complete trick “amazing.”
“You [took] close-up magic and made it huge,” he told Franco.
