The Spice Girls and Backstreet Boys are (sadly) not joining forces for a reunion tour, despite an inaccurate report circulating the Internet.
On Tuesday, The Sun published an interview with BSB singer Brian Littrell, who told the paper, “We are actually in early talks about maybe doing a world tour together with the Spice Girls.”
A number of blogs picked up the story, despite the fact that the Backstreet Boys just announced they’re touring this summer with Avril Lavigne.
And unfortunately, Gossip Cop has learned that the purported Spice Girls/BSB tour is not actually happening.
It seems that Littrell’s interview was from a while back, and it’s not clear why it made the rounds again today.
We also checked with a Mel B. rep, who tells us there’s been no talk of a joint tour with the Backstreet Boys.
